Dear Herbal Tea Lover,

Cistus incanus (Rock Rose herbal tea) is known for its anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties.

It is also known to be “anti-lyme”, especially against Borrelia burgdorferi.

Lyme carries multiple infectious agents, and over 80% of children with autism carry them. It helps to breakdown the protective biofilm that surrounds bacteria and viruses. Biofilm has an intelligence.

It grows and connects to other pieces of biofilm on separate bacterial organisms and creates a matrix that strengthens its ability to withstand anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral agents.

Within this protective biofilm matrix bacteria are 100-1,000 times harder to kill.

They resist antibiotics, anti-fungals, disinfectants, and anti-virals.

Inside the biofilm they are able to communicate with an intelligence, live, feed, and grow.

However, cistus incanus has been shown to breakdown this protective biofilm.

In this case, we can get to microbial sources and create a greater chance of eradicating them.

Benefits of Cistus tea:

Cistus incanus contains polyphenols. Polyphenols are plant-based antioxidants that are packed with health benefits. Studies show polyphenols to “significantly change the structure of the gut microbiota”.

Study shows benefits of use of cistus tea with upper respiratory infections, and exerts antiviral and antimicrobial activities, including several reports describing the antiviral activity of polyphenols against influenza virus. Symptoms decreased “significantly.”

The study also noted that the inflammatory markers “decreased significantly”. Most noted were the C-reactive protein markers.

Study shows cistus incanus to be antibacterial and anti-fungal against strains of Staphlococcal organisms, candida albicans, E. coli, and many more. Noted: “Their antibacterial and antifungal activities were tested against Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Pseudomonas aeruginosae, Enterobacter cloacae, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumonia, Torulopsis glabrata, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and Candida albicans as well.”

Studies show the polyphenolic anti-bacterial properties in cistus tea to dissolve Strep. Mutans, the primary bacteria that creates dental carries.

Study done with an oral rinse of cistus.

Cistus tea may also strengthen the mucosal lining in the gut and strengthen the overall immune system, skin, and support cardiovascular health.*

How to use Cistus tea:

One study showed the importance of extractability of phenolic compounds. “On basis of the results, the highest concentrations of bioactive compounds in the infusions were yielded when leafy parts with a small particle size were used for brewing”.

Be sure to use a pure sourced, organic cistus tea so it is free of impurities and contains the quality necessary for optimum benefits.

Cistus tea does not have a lot of flavor which is good when considering giving it to children with autism, and it is noted to be gentle on the digestive tract.

Brewing it medium to dark brown is best. You can use the leaves a second time for another brew. Different polyphenols occur in it each time you brew it.

Adding a little organic green leaf stevia is nice to flavor it if you like.

Keep it in the refrigerator and sip it throughout the day, from 1/2 cup to 6 cups per day.

If you notice any die off symptoms occurring then just lower the amount you’re ingesting.
