Dear Entrepreneur,

For those of you who know me and for those who do not know of me, I’m a frequent traveler to Europe as I have family there.

I’m grateful every day this can happen – and over the years as a strong advocate of life-work integration, personal balance and an appreciation of global cultures I realize more than ever in these often chaotic times how more important than ever it is to get away, to be “unplugged” even if for a short time.

I hope you have an opportunity to do this this season wherever you may be!

Consider disconnecting as much as necessary for stress reduction and the restoration of balance. Here are a few tips to do throughout the day:

  • Take Cleansing Breaths: Three sets of deep inhalations through the nose (belly rising) and exhaling through the nose, (abdomen deflating) can (temporarily) change your physiology.
  • Stretch and Move: Release/reduce tension and increase energy.  Moving Meditation® Fitness Program
  • Walk: A five minute walk outside can change your mood and mindset.
  • Listen to Music: A mood changer.
  • Eat Peacefully: This aids the digestion and gives you “time away”.  Leave your office!
  • Allow Time: Give yourself extra time for the unexpected.
  • Smile and Laugh: Humor has been proven effective in reducing stress.
  • Take a mini-vacation: Disconnect for a few hours.

Research has shown that one while feeling Grateful one cannot feel sadness or depression.

Suggestion: last thing in the evening and first thing in the morning remind yourself of your personal list.

Meditation:

Gene-based study revealed how Meditation helps fight stress, boosts the immune system. While a vacation can help reduce stress, meditation works better – and its effects last longer.

I can teach you individually or in a small group formed by you – how to meditate- in person or via internet sessions.
