Dear Friend,

Imagine hearing these words….

5 Years to Live or Suffer for the Rest of Your Life!

That’s right, you heard it correctly.

This is what the doctors told me the day I woke up & rushed myself to the emergency room at the nearest hospital about 25 minutes away from the cabin.

What happened, you ask?

First, let’s ask why it happened.

As an herbalist; wild-crafting in a small rain forest can be quite the adventure.

You just never know what challenges may arise during the quest of searching for native plant species to make natural medicine.

It was my first experience living in the rain forest in a small studio cabin nestled on 50 acres in the middle of the woods miles away from society.

The closest neighbor was about a mile away, but with the trees and a driveway that was a mile long with steep cliffs, I was in complete solitude & dependent upon myself.

At this point, I knew I needed to be aware, sharp, & engage my survival tactics and knowing how to take care of my health.

It all began when I realized I ran out of Mullein plant in my herbal inventory.

Mullein had helped greatly with my insomnia. It naturally relaxed the body when made into a hot tea.

As I was canvassing the property looking for Mullein, I spotted some near the entrance of the driveway.

Before harvesting the plant, I was curious to know which species of Mullein it was.

So, I took a snapshot with my phone camera, went to my plant identification app called Plant Net and was able to identify it as Woolly Mullein.

I’ve never used this particular specie of Mullein so I thought it would be a great experience to make a tea with it before going to bed.

After taking the plant back to the cabin to dry out, I simply carried on with my day.

That evening I was on the phone with my mother and had already started drinking the Mullein tea.

Within 20 minutes of talking with mom and sipping on the Mullein, I started feeling a bit oozy.

It was like someone struck me in the neck with an elephant dart. It didn’t fee normal.

I wasn’t able to continue talking so I got the phone and decided to sit down and relax.

I started to feel some weird tingling feeling in my legs. I ignored it and soon fell asleep. I woke up the next day feeling ready to take on the day.

It was a nice, hot summer afternoon. I was in the mood to do some target practice with the Mossberg. So, I started building a wall using slate rocks.

While moving some tree debris out of the way, I noticed a red fire ant hill right next to a poison ivy plant.

I didn’t want the toxic plant near me, so with my rubber gardening gloves, I pulled the plant out of the ground and threw it into the woods.

About 30 minutes later, a mosquito bit me in the lower back area right underneath my tang-top.

As I went to go scratch the area and get rid of the bug, I realized that the urushiol oil was still on the tip of the glove and I just rubbed my back after its been sweating under the hot scorching sun.

I had to go inside and take a cold shower right away and hope the oil didn’t seep into my skin too deep.

Well, that was wishful thinking as it was too late.

When I woke up the next morning, I had small red dots developing on my body.

I was diagnosed with Bullous Pemphigoid, an auto-immune blistering disease that is both intensely painful & life-threatening.

It’s the body’s immune system that mistakenly attacks the skin from the inside out, causing the formation of giant golf ball blisters that develop in certain areas of the body causing major discomfort.

The pain level is relative to 2nd degree burns, and chicken pox while being placed in a pizza oven with the door closed.

The nightmare feeling led me to think on some nights that I wouldn’t wake up the next day.

The dots evolved quickly into blisters. The blisters appeared on my legs, on my calves, both sides of ankles, both sides of my knees, in the middle of my chest in the solar plexus area.

Two small dots revealed itself in between my pectorals and more kept appearing.

I even made a cold ice cube tray made of Jewelweed which is a plant used to relieve the itching from poison ivy.

After taking a shower, I made a big mistake by using hot water and then using the towel to dry myself off.

The next morning, I was covered with 42 blisters on my body (yes, I counted them).

The itching started and the blisters were growing by the day.

The burning sensations were getting worse and it was only the beginning for the Chinese torture to breed into its agony.

As I did some research wanting to know more about the plant mixture of poison that was circulating my body, I was finding that people with the same experience were committing suicide due to the excessive pain and burning sensations.

When I arrived at the emergency room, they immediately placed me in a room, and moments later, about 9 nurses and 1 doctor came in to see the bizarre blisters that had developed on my body. I felt and looked like a mutant.

They wanted to do a biopsy which I was hesitant, but they were concerned that it would be cancerous.

I told them it wasn’t. At the time, I allowed the biopsy, but today, looking back, I would not allow it to be done.

The doctors did say that if I wanted to ease the pain, I would need prednisone shots which would cost me roughly $4,000 per month.

My response… “Keep the shot!”

As there wasn’t much for them to do as I refused to get the injections and did not want the prednisone tablets they gave me, I made it clear that I would be back in 90 days or less to show them my healing results.

I told them to keep the shot, I’ll figure it out.

For that, I drove myself back home to the cabin and started formulating a paste from using different spices.

The spices I integrated include:

  • Turmeric.
  • Paprika.
  • Cayenne Pepper.
  • Ginger.
  • Cumin.
  • Cloves.

The above spices were combined with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide (the one you find under your bathroom sink or cabinet).

Another problem I encountered, is that one morning I woke up and before using the bathroom, I noticed there was a painful sensation near my private area.

I was not about to go through the experience of having any blistering or burning feeling down there so I had to think quick…

Here’s what I came up with:

  • Moringa Powder.
  • Liquid Chlorophyll.
  • Baking Soda (Bob’s Red Mill).
  • Hydrogen Peroxide.

I made a green paste with the ingredients and applied it gently to the area.

I laid down on the bed and fell asleep for about 5 hours.

When I woke up, the developing blister near my private area was gone!

The remedy worked!

Now, it was get rid of the infection inside and outside of the body.

I knew there was more that I needed to do so I made some hot herbal teas to disinfect the infection in my blood system.

Here are the following herbal teas I used as natural medicine:

  • North Eastern White Pine Tea – Wholefood Vitamin C.
  • Goldenrod Tea – Natural Quercetin and Contact Dermatitis Anecdote.
  • American Ginseng Tea – Immune System Booster.
  • Figwort Tea – Heals Psoriasis.

This combination of teas taken at certain times along with the spice paste, I was able to heal the Bullous Pemphigoid within 60 days.

Instead of 90 days, I was able to prove to myself and the doctors at the hospital that they should never have doubted the ability of an herbalist.

Once I healed, I moved out of the rain forest and ended my journey in Marion, NC. My next quest was in Asheville, NC.

The lesson in this experience is to never assume a plant has the same level of toxins and that it’s safe to consume just because it’s in the same family of species.

And to boil the Wooly Mullein tea longer than 5 minutes. This particular specie needs to be 15-20 minutes to remove the high toxic hair follicles that can irritate sensitive skin.

The other lesson was to pay attention more when outside and not to forget that I removed a poison ivy plant from the ground and to not scratch my back while sweating after touching a toxic plant.

Sometimes, when you’re flowing in a moment, you overlook the simplest things that we cannot afford to oversee.

And don’t listen to what the doctors have to say as they would have killed me with their suggestions.

There’s comes a point in life or many points, where you must be in control of your own soul.

It’s your path, your journey, and your walk in this life.

As a result, it’s up to you to decide how you manage or don’t manage your health.

Nature has the solution, you just have to be open to it and either figure it out or get a herbalist in your corner.

Learn how to train your mindset to get through the pain and formulating remedies to heal yourself.

You just never know what can happen, when it can happen and where it can happen.

When there’s nobody around to hear you or help, and have to crawl to the bathroom or the kitchen, you have to be calm in the mind.

You also have to become instinctive as instantly as possible. Your innate abilities to live are within you.

For anyone who may be experiencing Bullous Pemphigoid or knows someone with this auto-immune challenge, I encourage you to keep going.

I’m here to help you as a guided mentor so that you don’t have to suffer anymore or just to know there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Allow the burn to turn into an inspiring fire that changes your life for the better the way it did for me.
