Dear Friend,
At the age of 11 years old, back in 1989; I was at my grandmother’s house for a sleep over. ?
Every time I went to Mama’s house, I would run upstairs to my uncles room to look at his old vintage comic book collection in his walking closet. ?
Some of them I would ask to read. Especially the original SpiderMan and Wolverine comics which he had in plastic sleeves hanging up on the wall. They were dated back to the 1960’s and early 1970’s. ⏳
That evening, he was getting ready for class at a local college. I noticed he placed a book on his bed while he was walking towards the bathroom. It struck a curiosity chord from my mind and wanted to know which book it was. ?❓
I sat on his bed and picked it up immediately. The front cover read: Unlimited Power by Anthony Robbins. It sounded really cool to an 11 year old at the time. ⌚
When I opened up the book, it landed to pages 128 and 129 where I saw different forms of facial expressions. It talked about Kinesthetic, Auditory, Visual, Gustatory, and Olfactory emotions and definitions reflecting a person’s body language and thoughts. I said to myself…
“Wow! If I read this whole book, I’ll be the smartest kid in my class (5th grade), maybe even smarter than the teacher!” The imagination as a kid is unlimited. 〰
It lead to me to asking my uncle if I could borrow it and read it.
He said… “Sure, no problem.”
Soon enough, I read it more than once, I studied it, practiced it, wrote good notes before bed every night, drew the expressions on a separate piece of paper where I would memorize the information and applied it to my daily life.
There was something within me that had to know if it worked. ?
I can proudly say that I still own this original book today. In fact, it’s part of my library. I truly believe that Unlimited Power programmed my mind to think in such a positive way at such a young age, that positive thinking became second nature. ?
Although negative thoughts do get in the way at times, I learned certain methods on how to deal with my thoughts, which allowed me to become aware of my emotions and feelings. 〰
Positive information is good for you. It’s nutritious and healthy for your mind. The moral of the story is this… ➕
Sometimes in life, you’ll come across something or someone, perhaps in the form of a book, and it will give you valuable information that is meant to help guide you in a direction of positive purpose in your life. ?
Be not afraid of the challenge if this is the case. Engage in it and let it mold you into a wiser person. You deserve to know who you truly are and be able to tap into your fullest potential. ✊
You don’t know what talents, skills, or gifts it will bring out of you so that you can impart good energy into the lives of others. ?
Reading positive content can help condition the mind to attract the lifestyle you deserve. ?
To Your Life of Success,
