Dear Entrepreneur,
Here’s a a good question I received from a friend seeking some input on life:
Lotus Evolving: What is the difference between self-worth and expectations?
Joseph: Self-worth is the value and respect you have and give to yourself as a person.
In part of the question, there are three forms of expectation.
☑ The first is, what you expect from yourself.
☑ The second is what you expect from others.
☑ And the third is unmet expectations.
Expectation is the value you expect to see within yourself which manifests visual thoughts into your reality.
Expectation is also the value you see in someone else which then becomes cloaked by illusion. Why? Because we cannot expect anything from anyone unless commitment is made.
Once a commitment is made, there becomes expectation from the other person. The problem with this is the repercussion when they aren’t met. For example, in relationships.
If there are unmet expectations, it tarnishes the emotions within a relationship. You can only expect from you based on the action you take within your own path.
That’s why it’s different in a nutshell from my neutral perspective.
What are your thoughts on the question and what answer do you see it to be?
To Your Relationship of Success,
Joseph Mercado
