Article written by Martin Anastasovski {Writer and Editor of Macedonia}
Dear Entrepreneur,
We connected with Mike Markovski via Linked in. He became part of the MK2025 global professionals network that is comprised of people of Macedonian origin and friends of Macedonia. What immediately struck our attention was that Mike is the author of a book with a captivating title: The Peace Perspective.
It was no wonder we were drawn to find out what it’s all about. After a short while the book came through the mail in our office in Skopje. It became apparent right away that Mike Markovski writes about the element of inner peace that is essential in people’s pursuit of a more fulfilled life.
The twist is that Mike puts his focus on children by marking the way for the parent, as well as the educator, to become the medium that conveys the crucial guiding inputs. The Peace Perspective is an operating manual that shows us how to direct our attention inwards, to help us adjust our thought activity so that the mind can slip in in its natural state.
Mike faces us with the question: “Why is there no stress when we have no thoughts?” to which he offers his explanation: “If we have no thinking, we cannot have any chance of irrational thinking.” The book covers a variety of topics in a poignant and lucid style, ranging from Meditation, to articles such as “Who we really are?” and “The power of decisions.” The Peace Perspective is a breezy read that has immediately-applicable objectives which are truly necessary for our ability to elevate ourselves above the things that are keeping us down. And most importantly, The Peace Perspective is a gem of wisdom that we can give to our own children or to the children of those who are near and dear to us.
We talked to Mike and asked him to underscore the essence of his book, to which he responded: “this process is not complex with endless steps to follow. It only involves us replacing our separate ego with our universal essence. By knowing our true self, which is timeless and powerful, we not only help ourselves, but we also help our children to face life with a new sense of awareness. What makes all this possible is a belief in who we really are.”
And finally, on the question of living in a better world, Mike says that we have to create that world, each one of us, by first changing ourselves, by being the change that we wish to see in the world: “To change the world, it will take visionary people like you to make a real difference. By living your life with peace and compassion, you will affect all that you touch. We need to be the change we want to see in the world. By being the example for our children and others, we convey that there really is a better way to live. The Peace Perspective can happen, but only if it starts within you!”
